ผู้ลักลอบหลบหนีเข้าเมืองจะถูกจับดำเนินคดีตามกฎหมายว่าด้วยคนเข้าเมือง กฎหมาย ว่าด้วยโรคติดต่อ และกฎหมายการบริหารราชการในสถานการณ์ฉุกเฉิน ซึ่งมีโทษจำคุกสูงสุดถึง 2 ปีและปรับ ไม่เกิน 40,000 บาท ทุกรายอย่างเด็ดขาดและจริงจัง
